First of all, we want to thank our Village View family for showing up strong online this past Sunday. We had record online numbers! With the concern about today’s public health emergency regarding COVID-19, the leadership team at Village View has been closely monitoring official updates, recommendations, and directives from our local and national government.
Our prayer is that among all the messages you’re being bombarded with, you would find strength in God and support in your church family. During this time, it is important to not panic, follow good hygiene, take care of your neighbors, and continue to support our local businesses.
The health and safety of our church has always been, and will always be, one of our first priorities. Because of our demographic and those who are vulnerable in our community, we are doing our best to meet CDC guidelines. In light of their recent updates, we have decided to do church a little differently for the foreseeable future.
SERVICES UPDATE
Instead of meeting together at our physical location, we will continue to have church online through our Online Campus. Additionally, we are canceling or postponing all other groups and ministry activities over the next several weeks. We have not made this decision out of fear, but rather, in wisdom and in accordance with what the CDC is advising and our President's request.
We encourage you to engage online in the weeks to come as we worship, pray, give our tithes and offerings, and receive a timely word from Pastor Marty and our other pastors. Another option for giving is that you can drop your tithe off at the church office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:30pm. We anticipate a powerful move of God, and we hope you will join us!

SMALL GROUPS
Though all on-campus groups are canceled temporarily, we encourage you to stay connected with your group during this time by utilizing group texts, phone calls, and social media. Joining the "Village View Community Church" Facebook page will provide you with a daily note of encouragement and a place to connect with our church family.
We already know in advance that this virus will not last. We will walk through this valley together. In the middle of a crisis like the coronavirus, we have to change our focus, shift our perspective, and live our lives in light of eternity. Let's join together in prayer that the Lord will bring this pandemic to a quick end with minimal lives lost, staying in contact with those we do life with via text, phone calls and emails and be sure everyone's needs are being met. We want to be sure that all of our church family navigates through this time of physical separation well by coming together in online worship services, encouraging daily devotionals and updates by our pastors, and checking up on one another. God is still in control.
