6 Weeks – 2 Years

Dedicated volunteers look forward to loving and caring for precious little ones each week in our nursery. Safe and secure Baby Rooms are based on development: newborns, crawlers and cruisers. Once a child is walking, he/she is assigned to a class based on birthdate, with promotion in August each year. Volunteers in our Baby Rooms provide care for babies while singing, praying and speaking scripture over them.

3 Years – 5 Years

The Preschool Ministry does more than provide care and love for children while parents worship. Every week, we strive to lay a Biblical foundation by teaching children that ‘God made you, loves you and wants to be your friend forever!’ Preschoolers enjoy structured class time with a Bible story, craft, activities, snack and playtime. All preschoolers also attend a large group environment during each service- The Theater- where they participate in worship and experience the Bible come alive through storytelling! Children are assigned to a class based on birthdate, with promotion in August each year.

K - 5th Grades

In Village View Kids your child will connect with a Small Group Leader—an adult outside of the home that can be a spiritual leader in their life. Kids are divided into groups by grades and will experience both large group (drama/worship) and small group settings. Each week in small groups, they will experience open discussion about Bible lessons, pray for one another, and participate in fun activities.

DEDICATION

Parent | Child Dedication

Imagine the eternity. We want to inspire parents to invest in the things that will matter most to their child’s future. We want them to know that the most important decision their child will ever make is to put their faith and trust in their heavenly Father.  As parents, we will play a significant role in the spiritual journey of our children.

Widen the Circle. We want to encourage parents to surround themselves and their children with people who embody the characteristics they’d like their child to one day portray. We also want to challenge parents to widen their children’s circle of influence to include Village View Community Church.

WATER BAPTISM

Baptism is an event that occurs monthly and is designed for the elementary-aged child who has recently committed their life to Christ as their Savior. After a child makes an initial response to follow Jesus, we encourage the parent and child to meet with the Kids Pastor to reinforce their decision, they will be invited to the Baptism Celebration to celebrate their new life in Christ!

We advise parents to wait until their child is asking to be water baptized. This is usually a good indicator that they are ready and understand the significance of this spiritual milestone. While children under the age of seven can have a relationship with Jesus, they will not necessarily remember or understand the significance of water baptism, so we encourage parents to wait for baptisms until they are a little older.
